Join us on our 4-day Canberra small group tour escorted by Noosa Travel. We will explore what Canberra has to offer with a visit to Canberra Floriade, tour of Parliament House, cruise on Lake Burley Griffin, visit to the Australian War Memorial, and Royal Australian Mint.

You will be met today at Canberra Airport and transferred to our hotel. Flights are to arrive by 12 noon. This afternoon we will do the Best of Parliament House guided tour for 45mins. We will see the highlights within Parliament House from the towering flagpole to the Great Hall Tapestry, the architecture, the chambers of the Senate and the House of Representatives.
We will then visit the Australian War Memorial to view the galleries and commemorative area which includes access to Aircraft Hall, Hall of Valour, First World War Galleries, Second World War Galleries and the Commemorative Area at 4 pm we hope to see the Last Post Ceremony.
After breakfast, we will visit the Australian National Botanic Gardens with 400 hectares of natural woodland, and stunning gardens and take some short walks to see the gardens.
Followed by a cruise on Lake Burley Griffin. A Lake Burley Griffin cruise is a good introduction to Canberra. In one hour, you are able to identify most of the major attractions, providing you with a clear perspective of the city. This afternoon we will visit Floriade, Australia’s biggest celebration of spring, at Commonwealth Park on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. Enjoy the magical charm of one million blooms and an exciting program of entertainment and activities as they celebrate all things, flowers and gardens. (B)
After breakfast, we will drive to Tulip Top Gardens with acres of stunning gardens framed by weeping willows, and almost a million tulips, daffodils and other flowers. Enjoy morning tea at their café. Next, we will do a tour of the Royal Australian Mint. On your trip to the Mint, visit the factory viewing area for a bird’s eye view of where our coins are made. After lunch, we will have a visit to the National Gallery of Art. The National Art Museum of Australia as well as one of the largest art museums in Australia, holding more than 166,000 works of art. After breakfast, we will check out and have time to go to the Old Bus Depot Markets to have a look at local crafts, clothing, jewellery and food stalls, before being transferred to the airport for your flight home this afternoon. (B)
